    Support for Navigator 7

    Hi

We have been using your wrapper perfectly upto and including Navigator 6. Getting information from TomTom is more difficult that pulling teeth, but they consistently refuse to confirm not only when an SDK for V7 will be available, but if one will at all.

What plans, if any, do you have for supporting V7 on PDAs and smartphones, and will you in any case be reliant on the availability of an 'official' SDK?

    Regards,

If like version 5 to 6 the SDK is additive and supports all the previous version's functionality then the current library should work with TomTom 7. I would expect this as fundamentally there are no major changes in the engine. I have not been able to test with TomTom 7 because I don't have one of the (very few) supported devices. The only allow installation if the device OEM string matches specific values and won't allow you to install on other devices.

    Hi Peter,

I tried the TomTom 7.9 out of a HP Ipaq 214. Starting the navigation with "NavigateToCoordinates", everything worked properly.
    Still MethodFailed instead with "LoadItinerary".

    Hi,

    I've two question

1)is TomTomInTheHand fully compatible with TomTom ?

    2) If the answer is yes, is necessary to buy the TomTom SDK, end if yes it were what SDK version?

    Bye

TomTom have not issued any SDK for use with Navigator 7 so we are unable to support that version. While it is likely that existing TomTom SDK 6 functionality will work also on v7 it is not something we can support.
