    Bluetooth & Virtual Machines?

     Hello,

I need to work with two bluetooth dongles simultaneously. As it is very difficult in one computer, I have created a virtual machine and I´m trying  that Virtual Machine uses one dongle and the computer, the other, sumultaneously.

The thing is that I´m having problems and I don´t get it...

Anybody know if it is possible??

Thanks you very much in advance,

    Fernando.

     Hi again,

I got it! Well, partly... After many tries, I got to install one bluetooth  in my pc and in the virtual machine. I can use them, It seems, simultaneosly.

The thing is that I have programmed a code in C# (visual studio) with an interface that loof for devices and after pushing a botton, send a file.

I do not why but It doesn´t run at the virtual machine.

The are any restrictions using bluetooth in both side?

    Help please!

I did some work on getting 32feet.NET to work on Mono (.NET) on Linux.  There I used VMWare and it supported getting the dongle on the PC to be forwarded to copy of Linux running on the VM.  As I understand it the Microsoft VM program did not support this, perhaps until the newest version.  Was this the bit you were having trouble with?

Do you intend to communicate between the two programs running on the two machines (one real, one virtual)?  I have plans for using Remoting to providing access through our multi-stack feature, so that one PC we see the local stack and radio as radio 1, and the VM's stack and radio as radio 2.  I'm looking for funding for that.

(BTW I'm away for the rest of the week).

I would have a look at Sun's VirtualBox, that virtualization software has become pretty awesome and has the ability to pass any USB to the guest OS as well...
